To get started as a Real Estate Broker you are required to complete eight courses and pass the state Broker licensing exam. If you already have your Agent license or a college degree then you have already completed some of these courses. There are five required courses: Real Estate Practice (the course to earn an Agent license); Legal Aspects of Real Estate; Real Estate Appraisal; Real Estate Finance; and Real Estate Economics. The rest of the courses are electives approved by the Department of Real Estate.
